In acquiring Eximo and its laser technology, AngioDynamics enters a growing $500+ million market with an innovative medical solution that offers greater versatility, a wider range of treatments, and strong clinical data to support its efficacy.ĭifferentiated from other legacy medical devices, Eximo’s laser technology is the only system capable of delivering short, high-powered pulsed-laser energy in 355nm wavelength without compromising the integrity of its fiber optic cables during atherectomy procedures. Physicians provide atherectomy treatment to over 200,000 Americans annually 1, and Eximo’s laser technology represents a technological breakthrough among medical devices used in atherectomy procedures to treat PAD today. “The market is ripe for disruption, and the level of precision, safety, and efficiency offered to physicians by this laser technology creates a substantially differentiated alternative to legacy atherectomy devices.” “The acquisition of Eximo brings a remarkable, foundational technology to our portfolio that will change the way caregivers deliver treatment to patients with PAD,” said Jim Clemmer, President and Chief Executive Officer of AngioDynamics, Inc. The Eximo technology complements AngioDynamics’ leading thrombus management and venous insufficiency technologies. This transaction expands AngioDynamics’ existing Vascular Interventions and Therapies (VIT) product portfolio by adding Eximo’s proprietary laser technology, which has received 510(k) clearance for use in the treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). The transaction is being funded exclusively through the use of cash on hand. (NASDAQ: ANGO), a leading provider of innovative, minimally invasive medical devices for vascular access, peripheral vascular disease, and oncology, today announced that it has acquired Eximo Medical, Ltd., an early commercial stage, medical device company, and its proprietary 355nm wavelength laser-technology platform for $46 million in up-front consideration with up to $20 million of contingent consideration related to certain technical and revenue milestones. At the age of 97, Cardin’s legacy and adaptationist model of the fashion industry is given something of a cosmic rebirth. A half-century after the unrivaled demonstration of human ingenuity marked by man’s first steps on the moon, Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion has landed at the Brooklyn Museum. Imagine a sci-fall dance hall of architectonic designs piped with the song of a lunar harpsichord, look up and there she is, the infinite night sky, dusted with stars, shimmering with constellations. It’s a shame that a man so devoted to the supremacy of style doesn’t materialize here with a bit more dimension. With the gaze of Apollo, Pierre Cardin has fashioned his place on earth to reflect the starburst galaxy in his mind. Regarding the founding of his theater, Espace Cardin: “This allowed me to become a true patron and to present myself as a key figure in this history of Parisian cultural life.” While ego surely fuels success, it rarely enables a clear-eyed accounting of one’s artistic achievements. (One wall text notes that his Parabolic dresses were “designed to be seen in 360 degrees,” but don’t all couturiers think in the round?) The catalogue’s images, though beguiling, are largely archival, many taken from fashion shoots, and the volume’s sole text is an interview with le maître by the museum’s senior curator of fashion and material culture, Matthew Yokobosky, who asks Cardin every right question, but in return receives only terse, often self-aggrandizing replies. The couturier’s genius is treated as a foregone conclusion, even where evidence thereof isn’t altogether apparent to a contemporary eye. Although his ultramodern aesthetics may not have proven as prophetic as he’d intended, they’re still genuinely far out.įor all its delight, however, “Future Fashion” offers regrettably little in the way of scholarship, which leaves its overall tone feeling somewhat closer to sales pitch than survey. In one such design, his utterly fantastic Butterfly cocktail dress from 1993, two parabolas meet at a metal brooch at the center of a minidress in silver Lurex, as though tracing the path of electrons orbiting a nucleus. The Parabolic designs he produced for decades-think hoop skirts placed around the neck, wrist, or shoulder-wobbled and bounced as a wearer walked, infusing movement with a kind of atomic agitation. His oversize vinyl eyeglasses and stiff pendulum necklaces of 1970 made the most modish look insectile. The suits and bodysuits comprising his unisex Cosmocorps collections of the mid-’60s display a militaristic spiff inside sleek, minimal lines, brightened by an occasional pop of color. The jacket of his bénitier-back ensemble from the following year shows greater daring, cut so its fabric cascades in an elegant swag from the wearer’s shoulders, giving an otherwise gracious shape a theatrical touch.Ĭardin always struck a balance between experimentation and refinement. Some of the earliest on view include the vermilion wool twill suit designed for Jacqueline Kennedy in 1956 that helped her play to perfection the role of gracious yet self-possessed wife of a president-to-be. One thread to follow: the continuous evolution of his endlessly impeccable silhouettes. Ubiquity was part of his sum-total vision: “Thanks to my licenses,” he proudly proclaimed, “I can dress Cardin, eat Cardin, dwell Cardin, sleep Cardin, and travel Cardin!”Īt the Brooklyn Museum, “Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion” celebrates his varied and prolific career with 170 garments, accessories, and objects chiefly borrowed from his personal musée, handily leading viewers through his career arc. He would design furniture, lamps, hotels, and an airplane. By the late ’60s, having produced the mod and space-age designs for both men and women that would become his signature looks, he became the first designer to sell his logo, allowing it to grace everything from perfume to housewares to socks and other common goods. In fashion, “democratize” is synonymous with “capitalize,” and Cardin did both with aplomb. Believing that all women should be able to afford smart, well-made clothes, he debuted a ready-to-wear collection in 1959-a vulgarity his peers deemed unthinkable until they, out of economic necessity, followed his lead. His story is one of both creative and commercial prowess: After spending his youth honing his craft working under Jeanne Paquin, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Christian Dior, Cardin opened his own shop in 1950 and was soon lauded as Paris’s finest couturier of suits. Ninety-seven-year-old Pierre Cardin is fashion’s first mogul his name evokes the epitome of French chic the world over, though he’s Italian by birth. If it takes too much time, an evil pumpkin will come out and try to kill Nick and Tom. The effects of most of the power-ups disappears after the player loses a life. The color of the lantern tells the player which power-up he or she can acquire. If the main characters bowl an enemy over, they may drop different lanterns. They are more difficult to defeat and can take more hits than the normal enemies. A boss will have to be defeated after every 10 levels. They are worth 10.000 points for each player, which is the most a player can get as a bonus. Once they manage to, lots of money, in form of large green bills, will start falling from the sky. The target of the two characters is to fully defeat the enemies. If the snowball hits other enemies, they are eliminated from the game as well. Once this is done, the enemy will rebound off walls and, at some point in time, probably shatter against a wall. The players can roll every enemy who turned into a giant snowball. If the enemy is only partial covered in snow, he or she will only be able to move after they shake the snow off. When the enemy is completely covered in snow, they turn into a snowball and lose the game. Two players take each the control of one of the snowmen, Nick and Tom, and can throw with snow at the enemies. The version for Sega Genesis was released by Tengen in 1993 with additional levels, new background music and cut scenes which were missing from the arcade version. Amiga, Atari, ST, Commodore, GX4000 and ZX Spectrum developed their own version of the game in the same year. Capcom released the game for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1991. The game was ported for many other platforms soon after the release. The fact that it was ported on lots of other platforms says a lot about how many people thought this game is a cracker. The game seems to be similar with Bubble Bobble, supports two players, and is actually really fun to play. Snow Bros is a video game released in 1990 by Toaplan. At the end of each level they can also play the slot machines to earn bonus items. The Brothers can also grab special items like Popsicles, Pies, Hot Sauce, and potions that give them different special abilities and make their lives a little easier. If anything hits you before you zap to the next round you'll still lose a life! The Brothers can make a snowball and then hop on for a ride down a snowy slope - wiping out the bad guys in the resulting avalanche.ĭon't forget that the Brothers can lift snowballs and move them to higher levels.ĭon't relax too quickly after you clear a round of enemies. If the Brothers can manage to wipe out an entire round-full of enemies with one snowboulder they'll earn a special bonus surprise! If Nick or Tom can manage to make a snowball and get it to ricochet back and forth in a confined area, they can earn tons of extra points. Nick and Tom can toss snowballs in an am, which means you can hit enemies with some well aimed shots - even when there's a barrier between them and you. All-wheel drive is again available across the Sienna lineup, but it’s a different system than before. The hybrid system’s nickel metal hydride battery is located underneath the front seats, where it doesn’t affect cargo space about the only evidence it’s there is a cooling vent underneath the left side of the driver’s seat. The 2021 Sienna is rated at 36 mpg across the board with front-wheel drive, and 35 city/36 highway/36 combined with AWD. The 2020 Sienna was EPA-rated at 19 mpg city/26 highway/21 combined with front-wheel drive, and 18/24/20 with all-wheel drive. Yes, all Siennas now have a hybrid powertrain, and, not surprisingly, much-improved fuel economy numbers. Out is the tried-and-true 3.5-liter V6 engine that the Sienna has used for more than a decade-in is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder paired with two electric motors for a total output of 245 horsepower. New bodywork aside, the Sienna’s biggest change is under the hood. We wished for wider, cushier center armrests, however. The front-end shape was inspired by the Shinkanzen Japanese bullet train, and body-design elements such as the sharply angled rear side windows and pronounced rear wheel-flare bulges add a bit of dynamism.įirst Look: 2021 Toyota Sienna The Sienna’s center-console lid opens so the bin is easily accessible by the driver or passenger, and “pass-back” access to the second-row seat isn’t blocked. With the all-new, fourth-generation Sienna, Toyota is hoping to snag at least a few shoppers who were intending to buy a midsize SUV-the design aim was “an SUV with sliding doors.” It’s a tall order to make a minivan look rugged or racy, but Toyota stylists added some visual flair nonetheless. There’s also a slim storage shelf that runs across the length of the dashboard–the available wireless cellphone charging pad is nestled in front of the shifter. Quick Spin: 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited The dashboard design is logical and ergonomically agreeable. The unique “Bridge Console” layout locates the shift lever close to the driver, and provides an open purse-storage area underneath. The redesigned-for-2021 Sienna gets some body-design elements aimed at giving it a more dynamic look–such as the pronounced rear wheel-flare bulges and the rakishly angled rear side windows.Īutomakers often give their theoretical target-demographic buyers names-Toyota calls the new Sienna’s potential customers “experienced insiders”-those would be the parents shopping for a family truckster-and “reluctant outsiders”-shoppers who may or may not have kids, and are resistant to the idea of owning a minivan but could use a minivan’s capabilities for small-business needs or an “adventurer” active lifestyle. Minivans are family haulers first and foremost, right? They’re vehicles designed to schlep around your whole brood and all their stuff-soccer cleats, baseball gear, that class-project diorama, and… JUSTIN! Wh–WHY didn’t you tell me you spilled half your milk back here?! Yes, that’s why it smells bad! It soaked in there all weekend!Įrr… what were we saying? Yes, most people think “mom-mobile” when they think of minivans, but Toyota is aiming its redesigned-for-2021 Sienna at a broader target than parents saddled down with car seats and strollers and sports equipment and spilled Cheerios and who-knows-what growing underneath the back seats. With these two methods, you can both prevent the issue of OBS audio and video out of sync occurring again and get the recorded file back to normal. When you first open OBS Studio, you should be prompted to go through the auto-configuration process. Now what you need to do is just checking the Hardware Acceleration Engine option, which can ensure you the fast conversion speed, choosing the Output Folder which you prefer, and lastly, click the RUN button to start the processing of the video file. If you still want some delays between the audio and video, but not as much as the original one, you can also adjust the audio delay periods and save it. The Force A/V Sync option will make the audio and video completely synchronous. Put a check-mark in the box of Recalculate Time Stamp (Force A/V Sync). Step 3: Then click on the Rotate feature in the control bar. Step 2: In the new window, click +Video button to import the OBS video file that you will do synchronization to. Launch VideoProc Converter, and choose Video on the main interface. So why not free download it now and follow the steps below to fix the issue? However, because of its built-in feature of syncing audio and video, you can also use it to fix the issue of audio and video out of sync, not just about the OBS, but all other recording tools. Fix OBS Audio and Video Out of Sync Using VideoProc Converterīasically, VideoProc Converter works as powerful media transcoder. What about the recorded file? If you want to fix the recorded file, please keep reading the method 2. Now you just have the solution to keep from the issue coming again. Once you have configured the correct Audio Sync Offset your audio should now be synced with your video and the delay should be fixed. In the OBS Advanced Audio Properties, change the Sync Offset for the audio source affected by the audio delay. In the menu select Advanced Audio Properties. Once you have found the audio source that is having sync issues, click the gear next to the audio source in the Sound Mixer. Open OBS Studio, check the sound mixer, and find the audio source that is delayed. Now follow the steps below to fix OBS sound delays. If you want to correct the recorded audio and video files, please move to the method 2 for the details. This method mainly help you prevent from the audio and video out of sync issue happening again in the future. Fix OBS Audio and Video Out of Sync in OBS Studio No worries, in the following words, we will show you 2 different methods to fix this OBS audio and video out of sync. Some people may convince you to try lowering the settings or updating OBS Studio to fix this issue, however, nothing works. From some people's feedback, during the end of the recording, the audio is delayed by around 1-3 seconds. Or even worse and more annoying, both of them lost the video images. It may be either the microphone audio getting out of sync, or simply the game's audio is delayed. Have you ever had this problem with your OBS audio getting out of sync with video? When you use OBS to record or stream, at first it's ok, but during longer recording/streaming sessions the audio gradually gets out of sync. More than anything it’s great to hear Franz Ferdinand continue to have fun as they evolve as a band. Fans of Franz Ferdinand will be pleased with RTRWRA and they may even attract a few new listeners. These tracks allow the album to breathe and build appreciation for when the band goes all out. That’s not to say that RTRWRA is packed with one type of song – “The Universe Expanded” is restrained in both rhythm and volume. It has high energy and is not very danceable with a time signature of 4 beats per bar. The track runs 3 minutes and 57 seconds long with a E key and a minor mode. It can also be used half-time at 53 BPM or double-time at 210 BPM. “Bullet” is the last standout – it’s a surf song that lives up to its name.įranz Ferdinand is at their best when they’re creating danceable rock songs. Take Me Out is a song by Franz Ferdinand with a tempo of 105 BPM. For these reasons it’s my favorite number on the album. The song builds to a complex crescendo that emphasizes harmony and incorporating all of the other elements found in the song. The speed picks up eventually and the balance between the disco groove and the more subdued verse works well. “Stand On The Horizon,” the fourth on the tracklist, offers a brief repose from the aggressive pace of the beginning of the album. Immediately following the song is the primal scream that introduces “Evil Eye.” The lyrics are interesting but I’m still not sure what’s going on here. Of course there’s a doo doo doo sing along and some hastily-shouted words at the end. Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out (Video) chords. “Right Action” has the feel of a pub crawl, both in the musical tone and the somewhat incoherent lyrics. What key does Franz Ferdinand - 40 have The song 40 is in C min. This fun is evident with the first three tracks – you can dance to them or sing along in a drunken haze (or a combination of the two). While Battle Born showed a band making “serious music,” Franz Ferdinand thumbs their noses at such a notion. Play with guitar, piano, ukulele, or any instrument you choose. Take Me Out Franz Ferdinand Length () 03:57 Tempo () 105 Key () E min Loudness () -8. Last year I reviewed the most recent Killers’ album Battle Born – and now I have Franz Ferdinand’s new one to compare it too. E G D Em Am Chords for Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out (guitar cover) with Key, BPM, and easy-to-follow letter notes in sheet. The two bands are linked because of their simultaneous ubiquity. “Take Me Out” and “Somebody Told Me” take me straight back to 2004. Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actionįire Note Says: Franz Ferdinand’s fourth LP doesn’t disappoint as it hits the Right notes.Īlbum Review: Scotland’s Franz Ferdinand hit the scene right around the same time as The Killers. This is the “point size” or size of a given device. I strongly recommend designing on artboards of this size for a given device. What size artboard should I use for iPhone design? This is how much bigger to make a raster image (PNG, JPG) when exporting to take maximum advantage of the higher resolution of some devices. Use the most common iPhone screen size for your audience, but if you have any dense, data-heavy screens, make sure to test those on smaller screen sizes. If you’re recording analytics on your current app or website, check those* for your audience’s most common screen sizes. If you’re designing an app for a general audience, use the overall most popular iPhone screen size: 375x812pt or 375圆67 pt (but as they’re the same width, it doesn’t make much difference).

The output stage of each model is excellent as well. Are you used to the sound of a poorly calibrated 1176d? Easy, change the q-bias. Remember having a brighter LA2A? No problem, just adjust the brightness. The models also come with some extra parameters for each that allow you to further tweak how the hardware simulation responds. (note: the LA2A’s attack/release characteristics allow you to select the ‘era’ of the LA2a in a way, as various versions had drastically different response characteristics). TrackComp’s modes have little red notches that show you the ranges the hardware offers, and you can exceed these values while still using a component simulation of the real hardware. Outside of how incredibly good these modes sounds, they come with a feature that no other excellent emulation (there’s many!) I know of has: the ability to exceed the hardware parameters. 1176 rev D (The new 1176s are based on this). It uses SPICE simulation to recreate, component by component, the sound of: Tone ControlĭMG Audio TrackComp has thoroughly been the most exciting product I’ve used in years. Tiltshift is much simpler and faster to use. Pro-Q 2 requires the setup of numerous bands and controlling of those bands to replicate this functionality. Tiltshift 3 has an easy to use built in high and low pass along with a range control that easy adjusts how much influence the respective shelving filters have. I am aware of it, and I’ve used it quite a bit. So with smaller less destructive changes, you can create more audible changes. A 2db tilt actually changes the spectral balance by ~4db over the whole signal (lowend moves 2db in gain, and the high end moves 2db in the opposite gain direction). So small changes end up sounding more drastic. The beauty of tilt-type tone controls is that it affects the whole spectral balance of the signal. When the high-shelf is increased in gain, then the low shelf is reduced in gain, and vice versa. This can be seen as 2 complementary shelves: a high shelf and a low shelf. Tiltshift is a very simple plugin that implements a ‘tilt’ tone control. That is A LOT of time spent in a VST in 9 days.įor making broad adjustments, which the majority of EQ changes I make are, nothing beats these 2 plugins. I’ve owned them for approximately 9 days, and I’ve used them in total for about 27 hours. I recently purchased Goodhertz Tone Control and Tiltshift. 90% of the time I grab apQualizr 2, but I can’t live without Pro-Q. That’s just one example of the many problem solving things you can do with apQualizer that you can’t do with Pro-Q 2. We end up with less hi-hat and a snare that’s still bright and awesome. No high-cut during the snare, but high-cut during the rest of the part. The apQualizr settings make it so that when the snare hits, the high band rises in gain to 0. That cut alone makes the snare sound very dull and lifeless. The result is that for most of the playback, there is a deep high end cut that reduces the leakage of the hi-hat. The Compression module controls the gain of a high band. I have a midrange band that feeds a compression module. In the image above I’m cleverly and cleanly solving a common issue: hi-hat leakage in to the snare mic. The modulation system is unequaled in Pro-Q 2. Compensated analyzer (I LOVE this feature!).It has some functionality that I find superior to Pro-Q 2 for most general use work, and after forcing myself to use it as my ‘first try’, I’ve grown to love it even more. I already used it a lot, and during this test I used it the most of any plugin (according to Timesink). I know I was biased towards apQualizr 2 going in to this. I suggest reading this post about what I want in an EQ. Also using - Tone control and Tiltshift.P.s.: Next 30 days is coming soon… □ Contents Note: Pro-L 2 came out the day I released this, so it’s not considered. I think it goes without saying that I wouldn’t choose a product that I feel is sonically inferior. I won’t be talking about the sound quality of these products unless there’s some exceptional aspect of them worth mentioning. I’ll discuss if there’s any products I felt were superior for my uses, if there’s any products I found a new respect for, and if I feel that the fabfilter option is simply the best in its class. This post is to help wrap this up and show my conclusions. I felt like I rely on them perhaps too heavily. So a little over a month ago, I decided to not use any Fabfilter products for 30 days. |
